Brunch Vancouver

Production website for a Vancouver restaurant, on Cloudflare Workers.

A downtown restaurant needed a site that tells someone on a phone whether it’s open, what’s on the menu and how to get there, and stays correct when the owner edits it.

What I built: the menu, edited by the owner in Sanity; hours with a live “open now”; a catering request form; and a count of “Get directions” taps.

Brunch Vancouver

What made it hard

  • CMS and repository fallback share one Zod schema: a bad edit falls back to the last good menu.
  • Hours come from the server; “open now” is computed in the browser in Vancouver time, so a cached page is never wrong.
  • Directions taps are counted in D1 after the redirect, with no cookies or identifiers.
